Zootopia fans, get ready — the official trailer for Zootopia 2 is coming very soon, possibly within the next few days. Disney has already kicked off promotion with a brand-new poster featuring returning characters and a new face: Gary, a venomous snake voiced by Ke Huy Quan.
According to Consumer Protection BC, which oversees trailer ratings in Canada, the Zootopia 2 trailer was officially rated on May 15, 2025, confirming that it’s approved and ready to be released. The trailer will run for 1 minute and 25 seconds.
A preview was already shown privately at CinemaCon 2025, but the general public hasn’t seen it yet. Many expect the trailer to drop in time to be shown with Lilo & Stitch, which premieres in theaters on May 23, with Thursday night previews on May 22. That suggests an online release around May 20 or 21.
Zootopia 2 is scheduled to hit theaters on November 26, 2025, with Jason Bateman and Ginnifer Goodwin reprising their roles as Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps. The sequel also introduces Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby, a quokka therapist who plays a key role as Judy and Nick’s partnership faces tension.
The trailer will likely highlight Gary, the snake villain evading justice, as well as scenes of Nick and Judy attending therapy — adding humor and emotional depth to their dynamic. With so much anticipation building, fans won’t have to wait much longer to get a wild new look at Zootopia 2.
