Jimmy Kimmel Joins the Voice Cast of the Upcoming Smurfs Movie
Among the many live-action/animation hybrids hitting theaters, Smurfs stands out with its all-star cast. Rihanna is voicing Smurfette and also producing the film, while John Goodman takes on the role of Papa Smurf. Now, another familiar face is joining the fun: Jimmy Kimmel.
The late-night host has been confirmed as part of the movie’s voice cast, though his specific character has not yet been announced. According to Variety, Kimmel could even make a cameo as himself in the live-action world — but fans are also eager to see him voice a blue-skinned Smurf character!
Interestingly, fellow late-night host Conan O’Brien will appear in Toy Story 5 as Smarty Pants, proving that talk show hosts are finding their place in animated universes.
Smurfs will be released in theaters on July 18, 2025.
