On December 12, during the Advent season, the docudrama “I Am The Immaculate Conception” premieres in theaters across the United States, offering a profound reflection on the Mother of Christ.
Directed by Polish filmmaker Michal Kondrat, known for works such as Love and Mercy, Purgatory, and Prophet, the film examines Our Lady’s 1858 apparition to St. Bernadette in Lourdes, France, where she introduced herself as “the Immaculate Conception.”
Collaborating with the Marian Fathers, the documentary delves into Greek Scripture texts, revelations, and the dogma of the Immaculate Conception, providing a fresh interpretation of Mary’s role in God’s plan for the salvation of the world.
Michal Kondrat described the film as “an opportunity for families, parishes, and schools to grow in their love and devotion to Mary and her son, Jesus.” He adds: “Mary is exactly who our broken world needs as an intercessor and guide. I hope this movie inspires Americans to rediscover the meaning of Mary’s story for today’s world.”
