Elio: Pixar Reveals Runtime – The Film Will Be Longer Than Inside Out 2

Pixar has officially revealed the runtime for its upcoming animated feature Elio, confirming it will be slightly longer than Inside Out 2. Clocking in at 1 hour and 39 minutes, Elio surpasses Inside Out 2’s 1 hour and 36 minutes, the studio’s 2024 box office hit.

The film is set to hit theaters in the U.S. on June 20, 2025, with the Brazilian release coming a day earlier, on June 19. Ticket pre-sales are expected to begin soon.

About the story:
Elio follows 11-year-old Elio Solis (voiced by Yonas Kibreab), a creative and imaginative boy who struggles to fit in. Fascinated by space and alien life, he’s accidentally transported to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organization where he is mistakenly identified as Earth’s ambassador.

The movie has undergone several changes over the past years. After the lukewarm response to its first trailer in 2023, Disney shifted its direction and revamped much of the project. Now under the creative leadership of Domee Shi and Madeline Sharafian, the film promises a fresh visual style and deeper emotional tone.
