Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2025, and leading actress Rachel Zegler is addressing the controversy surrounding the film. In a recent interview with Vogue Mexico, Zegler shared that she views the criticism as a sign of fans’ deep love for the character and the original 1937 classic.
“I interpret people’s feelings about this film as their passion for her, and what an honor to be part of something people care so much about,” Zegler said.
The film has faced backlash over casting choices, changes to the original story, and even criticism from actor Peter Dinklage, who has spoken out about the portrayal of the dwarfs in the fairy tale. However, Disney promises a respectful balance between nostalgia and modernization, bringing Snow White to a new generation while staying true to its roots.
Directed by Marc Webb (The Amazing Spider-Man), the highly anticipated remake will feature fresh storytelling, new music, and an empowered vision of Snow White.
